The Council for Professional Recognition is a nonprofit that promotes improved performance and recognition of professionals in the early childhood education of children ages birth to 5 years old. The Council recognizes and credentials professionals who work in all types of early care and education settings including Head Start, pre-k, infant-toddler, family childcare and home visitor programs. To date, the Council has issued over 800,000 Child Development Associate® credentials around the world.
ASPR has increased awareness of the Council’s story through engaging op-eds, securing an endorsement video from Craig Melvin of NBC’s “The Today Show,” coordination of a CDA Advisory Committee, and other activities.
ASPR has kept human interest stories about early childhood educators front and center in its strategy and execution.
