The Council for Professional Recognition is a nonprofit that promotes improved performance and recognition of professionals in the early childhood education of children ages birth to 5 years old. The Council recognizes and credentials professionals who work in all types of early care and education settings including Head Start, pre-k, infant-toddler, family childcare and home visitor programs. To date, the Council has issued over nearly 1 million Child Development Associate® credentials around the world.
ASPR has increased awareness of the Council’s story through engaging op-eds, securing an endorsement video from Craig Melvin of NBC’s “The Today Show,” coordination of a CDA Advisory Committee, and other activities. Most recently, we researched and placed an op-ed in a strategically important business publication addressing why some workers are hesitant to return their children to daycare centers.
ASPR has kept human interest stories about early childhood educators front and center in its approach and execution.
