Elizabeth Farrell is an award-winning journalist and strategic communications leader with a proven track record of delivering high-impact results to nonprofit and corporate clients. She has written and reported for media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, PBS’s Nightly Business Report and Newshour with Jim Lehrer. In addition, she has partnered with nonprofits, government agencies, public school districts, advocacy groups, corporations and colleges to build visibility, support and engagement for their efforts. 

During her time as director of public affairs for ACT, Farrell led messaging and media outreach strategy efforts on numerous projects, including a series of studies highlighting the challenges underrepresented students face in becoming prepared for college. She also partnered with Univision to create a groundbreaking partnership, with televised events in 15 cities, to help Latino students find resources and advice on applying to college.

As a public relations consultant, Farrell has also worked on behalf of The Milken Foundation’s Teacher Awareness Program, the Education Department’s Regional Education Labs, Teach for America and the Knowledge Alliance.
